Hi guys

Is it just me or is anyone else having issues syncing MyphoneExplorer to outlook 2007. Contact/Appointent/notes are all deleted from the phone.

I have updated to the latest MyphoneExplorer
I tried a repair install of Office 2007
I tried a repair of the PST file. I even tried a new fresh PST file.

What ever I can think of to try, The syncing with outlook has just gone haywire.

Not working after Windows 10 October 2018 Update

I've just updated my Windows 10 to October 2018 update. After that, MyPhoneExplorer deleted all my contacts/events/notes from the phone and syncing doesn't re-create them. MPE doesn't report any errors. Outlook is set to allow programmatic access. I'm using latest Windows/MPE/Outlook versions with all updates. Please, help!

I've also just updated to the Oct. W10 release and MPE doesn't sync to my phone. Also tried to repair the pst file (scanpst.exe - or whatever it's called) but still nothing. It seems to read all of the pst dataase but doesn't sync to the phone (I'd deleted all on the phone as I thought a complete new download would sort things out. But an empty phone database still doesn't sync).

Hmmmm....

I had the same issue. It seems that the Windows 10 October 2018 update breaks the communication between MPE and Outlook.

It appears that when MPE queries Outlook for changes during sync, Outlook is deeming that there are no contacts/events/notes, therefore it deletes these items from the phone.

There is a whole thread on the issue (see previous post)

I had to restore my contacts/events/notes using Titanium backup on my phone and a PC backup from the prevous day's backup.

In MPE I have turned off syncing to outlook until this is resolved.

Download ed the latest MPE PC client beta ( .. from ... www.fjsoft.at/files/MyPhoneExplorer_DebugUpdate.exe ...) and that will now sync the contacts. No calendar yet though ....

Scrub that: contacts seem to be downloaded but not all .... something wierd going on ....

Holy sh*t !!

Thanks VERY much for bringing this issue to our attention here in the english section, I'll make sure to block this Windows 10 update on my pc until the issue is resolved.

(actually I'm having a problem with Win Update since a couple of weeks, one update refuses to install and therefore blocks further updates I think, which in this specific situation is a "good" problem to have ^^)

Auto update does not work

I updated Win10 with the October release and now after syncing between Outlook 365 and my HTC Android running Android 8 I have managed to erase c 1500 contacts from my phone. Fortunately I didn't repeat the same mistake with calendar et al.

Hopefully others will not repeat my mistake... but I bet most will!

It seems as if this very useful piece of free software should NOT be used until a fix is issued.

Does anyone know if I can export contacts as a csv file from Outlook and import that to my phone?

The author has announced an update here: https://www.fjsoft.at/forum/viewtopic.p ... 599#133599 - 04.10.2018 7:00

There is a new beta version: https://www.fjsoft.at/files/MyPhoneExpl ... Update.exe from October 4, 2018 06:58:24
which many users in the German forum claim to work with Outlook again.
(C:\Program Files (x86)\MyPhoneExplorer\DLL\fjsoftMAPI.dll - Version: 5.18.0.5138 - 04.‎10.‎2018 ‏‎06:56:26)

For me personally, the synchronization with Outlook 2013 32 bit now works again when using
Windows 10 Pro (x64) Version 1809 (OS Build 17763.1) and MyPhoneExplorer 1.8.10 / Client 1.0.47.

In the start section of settings it is possible to set "search for updates"
I have never seen any update message from MPE.

As a temporary fix, version 1.8.8 works fine with the Windows update (1809) you can download from Filehippo.
