Hey!
First off, I would want to congratulate you for a marvelous 1.5.8 release. FJ ROCKS!
One of the greatest advantages FJ has over the competition is its partial support for keyboard accelerators. I consider myself a power user, and I prefer using keyboard hotkeys over mouse clicks because it's much faster. Thankfully, FJ supports Keyboard Accelerators in the Main Window, where I could use my keyboard to get to a button in the sidebar without using the mouse (Example: Pressing Alt-V-M-I gets you to the Inbox). Also FJ allows Global Hotkeys such that I could create a new SMS without referring to the main window. Cool!
It is in this line that I would like to request for MORE hotkeys support, especially in the SMS window. I think FJ was originally intended for users to mainly use their mouse on, such as xxx on the phonebook icon to access the phonebook, etc. However, I find that I cannot actually use the keyboard alone when I create and send an SMS. Sure, I could type the message after pressing the hotkey, but I have to use the mouse to add a recipient, or access the Favorites number list. The SMS sending would be a whole lot more streamlined if I could solely use my keyboard to type and send a message without any mouse intervention.
Can you add hotkeys or keyboard accelerators support on the next release? I don't know, the keyboard accelerators can be like in the form of underlined letters, such that if I type Alt-P, I can get to P&honebook. Something like that. Of course, it's up to you to decide which keyboard shortcuts would be the most efficient, or ergonomic.
Thanks! More power to you!

Hy Allen
Generally the keyboard-support is not very much work - but i don't use the these keyboard-strokes. You told me about Phonebook and Favorites-Menu - what else you want to access via keyboard ? Please tell me:
- all functions you want to access via keyboard
- which strokes you want to use (i prefer CTRL+Key, not Alt) |

First of all, thank you for acknowledging my message! Nice!
Here are my recommended keyboard shortcuts to assign to the SMS Window Buttons:
Can it be done? I'm sure you can include it on your next release! Right now, MyPhoneExplorer is really very useful. It could be even more, in my opinion, once these features are implemented.
Please feel free to ask for any clarifications.
You have my support. Thank you very, very much!

Hy Allan
In The SMS-Window there are already a few shortcuts:
CTRL+I = Favorites
CTRL+P = Phonebook
CTRL+S = Send message
Following shortcuts i will add in the next release:
CTRL+U = Save message (Upload)
CTRL+D = Toggle Delivery report
CTRL+R = Toggle request reply
CTRL+F = Toggle Flash-SMS
The shortcuts in the Recepients-Window i have added like your wishes.
If you have more ideas for important shortcuts then let me know. Myself i always use the mouse so its not easy for me to filter out whats important and what is less important. |

Now when we open new message windows the cursor is in writing message window.
I think the best way to send SMS without mouse would be: to place cursor in the recipient position first. Now we put first letters of the contact and program displays person (as it is done now), then we push Tab and the cursor jumps to writing message window. We write a message.
Is it possible to place cursor first in recipient window? |

I open it using a hotkey. When I open the window, the cursor is in position to write SMS, and I'd like to have it in the phone number area. |

Could keyboard shortcuts be placed in the "New Message Window"? I've noticed that it has lost its text-based "Reply", "Forward" and "Delete" buttons and has become fully icon-based.
Delete Selected Entries - Delete
Call - Ctrl-J
Reply - Ctrl-R
Forward - Ctrl-F
Thank you! |

For the next minor-update:
CTRL+S = Send message (f.e. on missed call)
CTRL+D = Dial
CTRL+R = Reply
CTRL+F = Forward
Delete = Delete
Enter = Button OK
Escape = Close window |

Another kudos for a great 1.6.2 release! Thank you for implementing the keyboard shortcuts in the New Message window. Keep up the good work!
Would just like to ask one question. In your homepage, this version is supposed to support:
- auto-archive messages which were deleted on the phone (optional)
My question is... how? How can I enable/disable support for it? I couldn't seem to find it in any of settings in Options.
Thank you! |

Its activated automatically and i integrated it cause some users lost their messages because they deletet it in the phone and then they updated the sms-view in MyPhoneExplorer.
To test it:
- Refresh the messages
- Delete a message in the phone
- refresh the messages again
- a window sould popup which asks what you want to do with the deleted messages. |
