I just upgraded from 1.8.8 to 1.8.9. When I synchronized Phone contacts with my Seamonkey contacts, a screen popped up in MPE saying "The MyPhoneExplorer-Extension is either not installed or is too old. Install the newest plugin now?" I selected OK and was instructed to close Seamonkey, which I did. The synchronization completed successfully.

Thereafter, every time I attempt to sync contacts, the same thing happens: I have to close Seamonkey to allow the newest plugin to be (re)installed, synchronization completes successfully, and I have to bring Seamonkey back up. I have verified that the MPE Extension 2.0.20 is installed in Seamonkey.

Am I doing something wrong?

I restored MPE version 1.8.8, and everything works well with that version.

The Seamonkey extension is still at 2.0.20, which implies that the problem is not with the extension.

Is this receiving any attention? Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Yes, same problem here
Using SeaMonkey version 2.49.3 (32 Bit)
OS: Windows 10 - 64 bit

Has this been fixed? I'm reluctant to install any updates until I know it has.

I have checked with the latest version 1.8.11
I also checked to see if there was a newer version of
the SeaMonkey MPE extention, there was no update
The same problem exists
I even used Revo Uninstaller to perform a clean
uninstall of MPE 1.8.9 before hand before installing
Makes 0 difference

Disappointing, but thanks very much for the update!

Has this defect been fixed in Version 8.1.12? I'm reluctant to install any updates until I know it has.
