More problems with Outlook and recurrent events

Today I found out that MPE deleted ALL my recurrent events from Outlook, but kept a copy in MPE's appointments!
Even with the previous problem, a week or so ago I decided to risk and set "Sync Both" rather than "Force Outlook into MPE" as I have been using it. Today I realised that ALL my birthdays have disappeared from Outlook but are still on MPE but MPE doesn't sync them back into Outlook.
So before I start manually re-writing all the appointments in my Outlook calendar, is there any way to solve this problem?
