For some reason ive got it to work :)

What i need to know now is why it loses connection when transferring .dm files across? It says that the phone didnt answer and its usually when it gets so far.

I) think you have set the wrong COM-Port. Please check your Windows-Devicemanager. There should be 2 Entrys in "Modems". Use one of this Ports, not the port which is listed in the section where you can find all the other COM-Ports.

If that was the case why does it get so far then stop and say phone didnt answer?

Cause the wrong COM-Port is not optimal for filetransfer.

Yay!

Done it, I changed it to COM 7 and it worked :)

In MyPhoneExplorer they are listed like "SonyEricsson USB Port". In the device-manager of windows you'll find the good ports in "Modems"

Does Baud Rate got anything to do with stablity?

If you use the USB-Cable then it doesn't matter which baudrate you choose.

Oh so it doesn't have to maatch anything if I'm using a USB-cable? :)

On the USB-Cable there is only the right Portnumber important (and leave the OBEX-Size always on 4096 Bytes)

Hi,

I also get the "Phone could not be identified" error. I'm using a SE W950 with a USB connection (in phone mode, not file transfer mode).
I tried rebooting as advised above but still get the same error. I've tried to connect using the COM port marked "SE USB modem" and the one marked "SE PC-Connect port" but I get the same error with both.

Any idea where I might be going wrong? Thanks for your help...

The W950i is a symbian based phone.
These are not supported by MPE.
