Am moving from Samsung mobile to ZenFon2, so, need a new sync software for MS Outlook 2007 and the new mobile gear. Objective is to sync Calendar and Contacts of Outlook to Zenfon2.
Picked up MyPhoneExplorer and installed, but it does not start. Need a help.
Symptom:
Click the icon on desktop. The splash windows opens for, say, 2 seconds.
Then the main windows opens behind the splash, but it disappears immediately (1 second).
Splash window disappers, too.
Nothing logged in Windows EventLog for this error.
Environment:
Tested on two machines. Same result. One is Win 10 latest patch, the other is Win7 latest patch.
Tested versions 1.8.6 and 1.8.7, same result.
Removed Samsung's Kies, Kies3, and Smart Switch from Win7 machine, same result.

First question would be: what did you install?
Where exact did you get the MPE installer from? |

I beleave it's "MyPhoneExplorer". Installer is "MyPhoneExplorer_Setup_v1.8.7.exe".

Downloaded from "http://www.fosshub.com/MyPhoneExplorer.html".
Is this a wrong one?
BTW, I installed mobile side MyPhoneExplorer on Zenfon2, and its running in background waiting for connection. That was downloaded from Google Play.

Try this one: http://www.fjsoft.at/download.php?id=1
And start installing the MPE with Admin rights.
Using the Client from the Play Store is fine. |

Uninstalled the previous one then installed what you suggested with admin rights.
The problem still exists.
Executed MPE itself with admin mode. But, problem persists.

(Edit: Installed on the third machine, Microsoft Surface Pro Win10, ,,, same result. Is EPM compatible with Japanese version of Windows?) |
