Ubuntu 14.04 + adb + MPE

Hello, folks !
I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 on an Asus laptop PC (N750JV). I'm also using a Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G901F) running Android 5.0.2. and Wine 1.8
After installing adb and MPE (with Wine) it worked OK for a while, sync'ing with USB cable.
I had to reboot eventually after an update, and it stopped working : I found out that when I start a connexion (F1) in MPE, it stops the adb server, i.e. when I type 'adb devices', it first displays :
adb eventually worked again, I didn't understand why.
And today, another system update, another reboot, and here we go again : adb server stops when trying to connect in MPE.
Any ideas, Linuxers ?
