Hello, i'm french student, sorry for my english... I just wonder why MPE doesn't download embedded photos in contact list? i've got k750i, and if i sent a vcard by bluetooth the photo is embedded in the file received on my PC, could it be done with MPE?
(I've create a program in C which converts vcard to htlm page, decoding the embedded photo )

This was requested before I believe.

It was requested often - its also implemented and was planned as official feature. But the beta-tests showed me that there are some bugs in the phones. I don't want to implement features which doesn't work the half time.

If you want you can enable it (for testing). Ensure that you have v 1.6 installed. open the file general.ini in the Databasefolder, go to the section "PhoneMasks" and add your Mobile (K750) to the field "ForceContactImage".

I tested and it failed, it says the phone doesn't support this feature or no photo is attached... i'll wait a next version, for the moment i can live without this I think! mdr (="lol" in france, don't know if it's international)

My general.ini is empty and 0kb.

I also have the same issue (not seeing the thumbnails). Not even a Database folder under "C:\Program Files\MyPhoneExplorer" tree.

The database-folder is in the Applicationdata-Folder, not in the Program-Folder

Thx. I found the file and forced it for my phone (W810) but the contact picture wasn't retrieved. Anyways, it was a nice try. Thx! Wolf.

Anyway to set the thumbnail image from the phone itself? not local hdd.

Hi: I just want to say you that your program is so good, thx!, I just have a couple of suggestions. First one: I forced the contact image and it works fine, but the pic is so small, also It would be good idea to show this picture in the main panel. Second one: I would like to print a personal Address book for having beside my regular phone, have you printed a Address book from Outlook? Well, I am using it, but outlook does not print the pic. If MPE could do it I will uninstall outlook!!!

Yeah I thought so too. Do not set that box where you want us to crop the photo. Just put it as what we have.

I tested it on my K790( also on W710) - works nice. How about setting default folder on phone where contacts images should be stored( now it stores on root of images folder). Also have MPE functionality to export/import/ backup/restore contacts with embedded images.

If you are interested, i've done an application which read a .vcf file (containing one on more Vcard), and create a .html file with photos, then you can print it... I've created it for my k750i, i don't know if there are other balises, you can try, but i'm not a programer, just a student...

The save-location cannot be changed, thats technically not possible.

Many betatesters tried it out also and it didnt work on all mobiles. MyPhoneExplorer will not show features which are working only on some mobiles. Thats bad for the image.

I added the K800 and K800i to the ForceContactImage section of the general.ini file in the user profile folder but it does not sync the picture from Outlook to my K800i or visa versa. I one succeeded to sync a picture to my phone (not to Outlook) that was added via the MyPhoneExplorer instead of the phone or outlook.
That only worked once.
