How do I fix this?

First, I installed it over 1.5.9, tried to run it and that message came up.
Then, I uninstalled it and installed again. Same thing. Then I uninstalled, rebooted, installed again and still the same...

Please help fix this, this new version adds full google calendar support which I desperately need

Install MyPhoneExplorer with full Administrator Rights

I did. Installed as always... 1.5.9 worked without problems.

Edit: Well, it works now and here's what I did.

1) Install 1.5.9
2) Run it, run the connection wizard so that MPE finds your phone.
3) Exit 1.5.9
4) Install 1.6.0
5) Run MPE

Now it works and doesn't generate any errors.

Edit 2: Well, this should be in another thread but I suppose you'll have a look at this too so...


^ There's a german line in that window and I'm using english language file. Even though I can understand it, I think it should be fixed

I had the same problem, but daimaah's right -
v.1.5.9 works and -
v.1.6.0 does not - without first installing 1.5.9

This is on a new Vista installation. First I thought the problem was the VB6 runtime installation,
- it looks like the installer quits before completion - you don't get any feedback as to whether it completed sucessfully or not.
But the *latest* VB6 runtime installer is a very old release - it is more than 3 years old !

I will fix the german line, also i will fix the installer. There were general problems with installing v1.5.9 cause a system-file which already exist on Vista - so i removed the installation of this file for Vista.
