i was told about my phone explorer a couple of months back and i've been using it since then.

it is excellent and you could charge for it and make a decent living. i know you will get donations and that must give you a bit of an income, but i wonder why you continue to provide the best mobile phone software i've seen yet for free? are you one of the many software developers that think (and i applaud this) that software should be free for the benefit of the people (like the maker of spybot, who says this:

What do you get if you buy software? Lots of ones and zeros, nothing more. If they were distributed as art, I could understand paying it. But if the main goal of their order is to earn money - by fees or ads - I don't like it!

I.c. Conclusion
This means that I grant you the license to use Spybot-S&D as much as you like. But if you like it, I ask two things of you: say a prayer for me (and the most wonderful girl while you're at it ) to your god - or whatever you believe - and wish us some luck.

is this the way you feel? just curious cos i really am impressed with your software and i would have paid for it.

I know i could live from this project if i would provide it as shareware. I am also sure that i would get much more money than in my normal job. There are more reasons why i go this way:
- i'm a normal worker, i never went to a higher school. Softwaredeveloping was and is only a hobby
- money is not all. I have enought and everything is OK. Money can make happy, but it also can damage your character
- with the donations i can pay all costs which is related to MyPhoneExplorer
- managing a shareware-project needs much more time, you have to manage the licenses, promotion,...
- its better to training my brain than to sit infront of TV with a beer in my free time

Maybe - if my personal situation chnages i have to make it shareware. But this is not my target.
