Until recently MPE was working fine with bluetooth connection to Samsung Galaxy 5. However recently I found that phone battery was drained by MPE client. I traced it to the disconnect after 5-minute inactivity not working. I have to manually disconnect to stop battery drain.

I am running MPE version 1.8.7 on Windows 7.1 and MPE Client version 1.0.38 on Samsung Galaxi I9505.

Any assistance in how to get disconnect on inactivity working again would be most appreciated.

I've the same problem with Zperia Z3c/5.1.1
Also the Stamina keeps nagging that the MyPhoneExplorer hinders the phone go to sleep.

The old client had not this problem

Yes, can confirm I get the same problem but using a WiFi link.

Stopping MPE on the desktop causes the Android client to exit as before. So it looks like the 5 minute time-out is simply not working in the new desktop release.

I am not sure if it was a MPE update or Windows update that caused timeout to stop working in my case. It may well have been due to Windows update that broke the method MPE was using to sense inactivity.

Is the previous Android client available somewhere? I assume that issue is on the client side as the Stamina keeps nagging.

I don't believe the problem with the Android client side because when I manually disconect, it is working okay. So the problem is the MPE running on Windows.

I seem to be having the same problem.
I recently updated to new OS (Win10) and also updated MyPhoneExplorer from 1.8.6 to 1.8.7.

I don't remember having this problem with version 1.8.6. on the PC. (now using 1.8.7)
I might have also updated android client at the same time (not sure about this).
Currently running android client version 1.0.40

So, to summarize:
- android client does not automatically close after 15 minutes of inactivity because it remains connected to MPE on PC all the time after initial connection/sync.
- MPE on PC does not disconnect after 5 minutes of inactivity after last sync, although the option "Disconnect after 5 minutes' inactivity" is set
- Once MPE is manually disconnected, android client reports that it will close after 15 minutes.

I'm very much interested in a solution to this problem as well.
