Display problem Windows 10 MS Surface 4 Pro

I have been successfully using MPE 1.8.7 in a configuration with Windows 8.1 wifi and an OnePlus X with Android 5.1.1. (Swedish in MPE)

When I change the computer to a new Microsoft Surface 4 Pro with the keyboard running Windows 10 after the Fall update (November), I have a problem with the way MPE is displayed on the screen.
After I discovered the display problem I reverted to 1.8.6 which I feel is less problematical.
I start a sync with either the Contacts (Telephone) or the Calendar. Shortly thereafter,the full screen display of MPE shrinks to 1/4 of the display and it becomes very difficult to read the text as in the items due for transfer to of from the phone. I have tried running MPE as a legacy program but it does not seem to help. The rest of the screen not covered by MPE shows what was displayed before I started MPE.
If I shrink MPE by pressing the square in the upper right corner, it becomes even smaller. Again pressing this results in MPE again covering the full screen but the writing, i. e. the letters in the window, remains 1/4 of the original letter size.
Any ideas of how to get around this problem?
