Longtime user and donater. Love mpe. My older android mpe version works great on my S5. I am moving to windows 10 so figure I will use the most recent desktop version.
Question is should I leave well enough alone and stay with my current android version or is there integration with the desktop version such that they both should be most current revs.?
Thanks,

From what I've seen installing 'beta' versions on the desktop, if your phone version is not at the right level you get the option to update it directly from your PC. |

Noticed the new desktop version and android app version. Great timing for me, just getting ready for my first new sync on new PC on Windows 10.
I have a phone that has previously been sync'd fine with Win 7 and MPE on another hard drive.
Here's my question. In prior versions of MPE desktop, I could go in and put in all of my settings BEFORE plugging in my phone for the first time which gave me some comfort that things would go okay if a sync happened.
Now it says that "settings are not saved" you need to connect your phone first.
I also don't see the ability to setup a new profile without connecting a phone.
So perhaps there is a reason for this change. But if I just connect to my phone and it "connects" to desktop MPE, it won't try to sync or do anything will it? I remember a long time ago when I started fresh MPE just started syncing which would be BAD with the default settings which do not point to outlook, etc.
Can someone clarify this for me? Is the process start the MPE client on the phone, let MPE desktop "see" the phone (try to select connect?) and then put in my settings before syncing?
Also, do I remember correctly that for the first sync you should not choose for the calendar "Compare only changed events (faster)" because since it is the first sync it won't know changed items?
Thanks,
