I like keeping all of my appointments. Is there a way I can "archive" appointments or sync so my appointments on the phone are removed but remain in Outlook and MPE? |

Is there a reason why you want them gone from the phone? Lack of memory perhaps? I too keep all my appts. and use Outlook but just load all of them .... don't see a problem and haven't had any problems doing this either.
Am I missing something? |

Yes, mainly space and search results. I don't keep all my texts on my phone either. |

Have you tried (on the PC): Settings > Sync > Events and tasks (OL) -Advanced > Sync Only Events ...(or Sync events in time range) ..?
Edit to say: after thinking about this I guess you'd need to start from nothing (on the phone) but that the calendar storage would then start to fill up as time passed. |

The problem that I am running into is that when I choose a certain timeframe to sync, it removes it from MPE and so if I ever need to restore the information, it will only restore what was on my last back up, not the old ones. |

I'm missing something here. If I lose all the calendar info from my phone (usually by installing a new ROM!) I just download all my Outlook info again. I just think of MPE as a bridge betrween Outlook, which is my 'master' calendar store, and the phone, which is the slave and it doesn't matter if I lose all info as it's all in Outlook. |

I don't back up my Outlook when I reformat my computer. |
