ssd boot drive and a mechanical drive and myphone explorer

I could not find an answer to this,
Do i install on the mechanical drive or ssd and can i set data to be stored on mechanical drive and not the ssd?

I have changed seetings / advanced 2/ data bases and photos but on restart the pictures always defaults back

It would help if you said which disk was the system disk and which was the data disk (I'm assuming the SSD is the system disk) but MPE lets you choose the destination folder like most windows installations. Did you not see that option when you installed?

Not sure about the second part of your question, I just use the 'defaults' with those.

ssd drive is the system files (c:drive), have installed on the c:drive with options of pictures and database on mechanical drive, done through "advanced 2" in settings.
Just trying to get confomation this is correct install method from someone who knows
