Any new releases for this great program planned / in the pipeline ?

This programme has replaced the out-of-the-box synchronizers from Samsung, Erichson, Huawei and numerous chineese vendors for my changing android phones through time.
It is a great program and the only one, that has a desent support for Lotus Notes sync.

Thanks for the effort!

Like you, I've loved using this software (and will continue to do so as long as it works on/with my phone and/or computer).

But it saddens me to say it looks like development on this project may be dead. It's been nearly six months since I've seen anything from the developer (last post by him was in late January) and even the Mod for this forum has stopped talking.

There've even been a couple of relatively big bugs mentioned in recent weeks that haven't even been commented on (by them).

I hope and pray that I'm wrong. Perhaps they've had some other huge project on their plates that's kept them busy. I hope that it hasn't been tragedy that has kept them away.

I totally agree.
It would be a shame to see this app go down the drain...

Hope we get some sign of life soon.

First off all, the MPE is not dead.
FJ has got more to take care off and so do the mods.

@hvillemoes: Why asking for a new version? What is not running on the actual one?

@TheLandYacht: Whats a big bug often lies in the eye of the beholder.

I agree about the value of this great app and will hold onto it until it just won't work anymore with future phones. I see no major bugs but would like to see the wifi sync work a bit more reliably. At times, quite unpredictably, it will not connect even though MPE Client shows that it is connected to my home wifi. The fix is to reboot the phone, which seems to straighten everything out. This happens more often than not after using and disconnecting my Chromecast, which works from the phone via wifi--although this may not be the fault of the MPE Client.

Sometimes, maybe one time in ten, it will connect but won't go through the entire multisync procedure without an error after I wake the computer from sleep mode, which usually is corrected after one or two more connection attempts. It isn't a big problem for me but keeps me from recommending MPE to some of my friends who aren't computer literate and might get frustrated by peccadilloes that to me are mere annoyances that detract only slightly from the overall favorable experience.

bug

It is great to hear that there is life in MPE still. But I do seem to suffer from a bug. Since the update on my onePlus one from CM 11 to CyanogenMod 12, I can no longer read the contacts from my phone on the PC. Whatever I try, MPE on the PC seems convinced my phone has no contacts. This really seems like a bug to me. Having said that, the bug might well be on CM12's side. (some whisper that it would be because of the new mail app 'Boxer'.)
But I am now stuck between Outlook and my contacts....
I heve popped the question here in another trhread, but so far no sollution.
Any help would be apreciated.
Regards, Kurt

Ever considered the possibility that your "bug" might come from CM and not MPE?

I don't mean to be rude, but please read more than just the first line of a post. You would have noticed that I already asked myself the same question.

I reported the same problem to CM as well...

I would say the biggest 'bug' is the deprecation of Google login authorization

OK, I put it in other words. Your "bug" lies definitely in CM and not the MPE.

Thanks for the replies.
So in other words: untill CM adresses their bug so that MPE can read the contacts again, MPE cannot be used anymore for any person using CM12?

I am afraid that in reality this will never happen. Why would CM start working for MPE? They will not give a toss.

Besides they do not even reply to my mail...

So I guess this is the end of MPE for me?

I use CM12.1 on my Nexus 5 and it works smooth with MPE...

I am very jealous. On my OnePlus One, I get nothing...
But I am happy for you that it works... :?

Just some aditional information.

The MPE will always stick to pure Android and not to exotic stuff like CM.

Also there are a few things that could be solved if a phone is rooted. But the MPE will never require root.
This is done to make the MPE avaiable to everyone and not only to a small group of people who happen to know how to root their phone.

Important to know: MPE is done by one single person whos got a live, a family and a daytime job. There is no company, no business behind this.
Therefore there is no regular team for this forum that has to answer questions.
All of the people here involved do this voluntarily.

This IS important to know.
And it is great that such initiatives are around.

Unfortunately, I have no other possibility than to run CM, as that is the standard for the OnePlus One. It will not run on Android (At least I have no Idea how I could do that, nor have I ever rooted a phone.)

I may concider going back to CM11 which I concider far better than CM12, but even that seems quite a bit of a task...
But maybe it is the way to go since everything else is a dead end.

Thanks for the info.

Well, maybe you should not run for every nightly build version of CM.
As far as I understand, the CM 12 is far from being a release candidate.

Also I advise to read the forum. There have been so many things said already and you might get a better picture. I know the MPE since version 1.0 but for someone coming new to this it might help to read and get some background knowlege.
Even if thread is not entirly the same topic as your problem you might get some insight.

Tnx again. To my regret CM 12 is the official version now being rolled out to everyone, and standard installed on any new OnePlus phone. There is even a 12.1 version out by now. There was no stopping it, my phone kept urging me to update (like every time I activated it), as it does now for the 12.1. It has nothing to do with any nightlies, I never ever touched any of those. The 12.1 has no solution for the MPE however.

I guess my best option is to roll back to CM 11. Because in that version things were perfect between my (CM) phone and MPE.
