OS - cyanogenmod v12 (lollipop)

This is a new phone/ I have got MyPhonexplorer working fine. On the phone the photos are (by default) are DCIM folder. When I try to sync the photos with my pc using File/Settings/Advanced 2/, nothing gets transfered. photos are still in the DCIM folder.

If you can't get it working with your current method, try syncing your photos with Multisync. Here's the configuration for my Samsung Galaxy S4. First, set up a new Multisync job, which I call "Camera Shots" (shots taken with the phone to be transferred to the computer).

Direction: Phone -> PC
Source folder: \External storage\DCIM\Camera\
Target folder: <desired folder on computer>
Check Reflect folder
Check Disable confimation message....
Filter, include files: *.JPG
Filter, exclude files: (left blank)

@iclick - photo sync is now working correctly from the icon in the 'Files Section'. Therefore, I no longer have an issue. Problem appears to have resolved by itself. I am not sure why it didn't work previously. May be I wasn't doing it correctly.

Thanks for the tip on multisynch. I will try this too as it seems to give you more control on source and destination folders.
