We are today on 25/10/2014. I edit this post. No real news but some precisions.
I use Outlook 2013 on Windows 7 x64, with 2 calendards into it, with an Outlook (97-2002) format pst file for compatibility.
I Use MyPhoneExplorer 1.8.6
I sync with a Samsung Galaxy S5, running Android KitKat 4.4.2.
I am on a french setted configuration, both on Windows and on the Phone.
At first Sync, I forced Outllook->Phone agenda for the 3 past and future days.
I only did the sync whith the Agenda.
BUG N.1
First Sync : all the expected entries are transfered to the phone but some are duplicated onto the phone.
Second same sync just after the first one : MPE find 3 modified entries, with incorrect dates into the phone (the ones found into Outlook are correct) :
Those 2 events are Recuring events + alarm
01/12/1900 on Outlook is proposed to be edited to 06/01/2037 on MPE
It is also somehow "duplicated" at 30/11/2014 and proposed to be edited to 05/01/2037 on MPE
This event happens each year on December 1 since 01/12/1900
It's an all day event.
18/07/1900 on Outlook is proposed to be edited to 23/08/2036 on MPE
This event happens each year on July 18 since 18/07/1900
It's an all day event.
With such a bug, I cannot use MPE nor tell anyone to use it. What's happening and do you have a patch to correct that ? Or another way to make the sync work ?
BUG N.2
These events should not have been synced as they are more than 30 days from today (ie year 2037, or month 08 ).
EDIT 30/10/2014
I have tested other Outlook sub sync softwares, and MPE is the one that have this problem. Could this be analyzed and fixed, because MPE is so far the best one, but with this bug, I cannot use it nor buy an Androïd phone. And I'd like to... |

1900? Really? Ok, I see it is a recurring event but even so .... I would first of all search the forum for problems with recurring events as there are quite a few mentioned, together with solutions for most.
To be honest I gave up on 'recurring' events ages ago. I also sync Outlook to Android and the issues caused me to take a different approach, which is NOT to have ANY recurring events. I find it just as easy to create a single new event and then 'copy' it to the future dates (with Outlook you can use <cntl>C and <cntl>V to do this). It makes life so much easier. |

Yes, these are for events that do not have a real start date, but need to be repeated in the present. They are set in a far old date that cannot be confused with a real appliable year.

I found none answering this problem.

I have used iPhones and Windows Phones for years until last month, and none of them had any single problem syncing with my outlook, any. So I can't deal with this kind of solution. And I don't see myslef searching all these past events to replicate them manually for years.
BUG N.2
I also notice that these 2 events should not have been synced, as they are more than 30 days from today.
As I use a french configuration, could this be a problem of dd/mm/yyyy and mm/dd/yyyy date pattern used in the apps methods ? |

Bug 1: This issue is located in the phone. Android has massive problems to caleculate DST-Differences from very old dates before 1970 and this does cause your problem with Sync. You can except those two events from sync or you move them to 1970 or f.e. 2000
Bug 2: Its not a Bug, its by design: Due performance reasons MPE does not calculate every single occurence if it does match into the timeframe. If a ruled event begins in the past and ends in future then it can have an occurence in the timeframe so its synced. |

Well ok, but in that case, why is the event displayed fine onto the phone, at nearly (+-1d 1h, probably due to some timezone effect) the expected year and not in 2036 ?

Well, I can listen that, but in that case :
1) why do these events are synced taken into account that they are not in the timeframe
and 2) why do many other events of the same type are not synced ? |

Still problems with common dates :
Original (recurring event) :
"A lieu le dernier jeudi tous les 2 mois à compter du 30/01/2014 jusqu'au 25/09/2014 de 15:00 à 16:00"
Once synced (as shown in MPE) :
"A lieu le dernier jeudi tous les 2 mois à compter du 30/01/2014 jusqu'au 25/05/2180 de 15:00 à 16:00"
What about these ?
FYI, I have a PC config that allows me to do some tests on alpha or beta versions of MPE if this can help solving those bugs. |

Maybe you want to try calendar app alternatives like aCalendar to exclude that its a display error of your calendar app |

No, these are the differences shown by MPE before a sync. This has nothing to see with a phone display.
(I make a first sync outlook->Phone, then just after a new same sync, with the confirmation dialog set in the settings of MPE to be able to see what differences are found before letting the sync begin. These are what MPE shows in that differences dialog). |

First install the current beta: http://www.fjsoft.at/files/MyPhoneExplorer_DebugUpdate.exe
Then set the Outlook interface to the old connection mode:
-> START->RUN->%appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer\general.ini->OK
-> add a new line below [Main]: UseOutlookObjectModel=1
-> save the file |

This makes little difference, compared to the 1.8.6 release. Same global problems on same entries.
Note : my general.ini is absolutely empty. Nothing inside it, even after cahnging the settings in the 1.8.6 and/or the beta version.
So I had to insert manually :
[Main]
UseOutlookObjectModel=1
But just the problem identified bellow is not there anymore as far as I can see.

If the general.ini was empty then you have the wrong file. You can check the location of the file when you go to MyPhoneExplorer-Menu-Settings-Advanced 2-Database path |
