Hi,
I have a Sony Xperia Dual Tipo.
I've used MyPhoneExplorer w/o problems since I bought the phone.
However, lately, i'm not shure if after installing the latest version, or configuring MyPhoneExplorer Client to run automatically upon a Bluetooth connection, when MyPhoneExplorer Client is running the phone its finger-based input gets strange, very slow, missing touches, very hard to use, unpredictable, its hard to explain. For instance, when typing a message, it's almost impossible to use the finger sliding option, and when typing one letter after the other, one has to wait almost 1 sec before being able to get the touch recognised!
When I close the MyPhoneExplorer Client, everything comes back to normal. When I say close is really a stop, but for that I need to set it not to wake up automatically with Bluetooth or WiFi.
It took me a long time to figure this out, I've disabled, unistalled and closed many application before reaching to this conclusion. Still, I'm not 100% sure since this is very hard to diagnose.
The MyClientExplorer version is 1.8.6, running on a Windows 7 64 bits.
The MyClientExplorer Client version is 1.0.34. |

I never heard something about this issue and its absolutly not logical how MPE should cause this issue. But anyway: Please try Client Version 1.0.32, maybe we can locate the issue when we know with which version the issue came: www.fjsoft.at/files/mpeclient_1.0.32.apk |

I uninstalled the latest version and installed the one you refer (1.0.32). So far I could not experience the same issue again. I have the client being launched automatically (with Bluetooth), stand-by mode allowed on active connection and silent but vibrate mode on active connection). Everything works ok, as I was used to.
It seems that the new version is actually interfering with some event processing (I guess, I don't know anything about the internals of Android, my past experience is from PalmOS).

Although with (much) less frequency, the input problems persisted...
After reinstalling the system from scratch, and running the latest PME version, I've ran a touch debugging tool and noticed that: (i) touches were being ignored and (ii) after releasing the finger pressure some ghost touches were appearing in other parts of the screen. This means that the source of all the problem is in the hardware events being produced. This problem comes and goes without any apparent reason.
I've found a calibration tool and I've calibrated the screen. Let's see how it goes.
Sorry for the mess, but, as I've told you in the original message, the search of the cause for the strange behavior was not an easy task, and I was not 100% sure the cause was the latest MPE version. |
