Hi,
First, CONGRATULATIONS for your splendid software ! I am about to donate, because I think it's almost the best sync-program I've used.
I didn't had any problem with installation of version 1.8.6 and its presumed malwares !
However, I have a question/problem :
I synchronize photos from my phone to my PC on a specific folder. Then I move some photos to another folder on the PC in order to organize my pictures. These pictures are no more on the specific folder, and that's what I want. If I resynchronize immediately after, everything is OK.
BUT :
At the following connection (for example next day), original pictures are synchronized again from the phone to the specific folder, as if they had never been synchronized !!!
What can I do to avoid this ??? |

You could delete the pictures from your phone. That leaves nothing to synchronize.
Or you create a Sync-job with it´s own rules. |

Thank you for your response.
I would like to keep (some) pictures on my phone too.
Since they are synchronized a first time, they should not be sync'ed a second time...
How can I create a permanent and generic sync-job with own rules ?
What do you mean exactly ? |

Thank you.
I already use this option for synchronizing files.
How can I specify that already synchronized files have not to be sync'ed again, unless they are modified since last sync ? Is there a flag for marking already sync'ed files ?
In a script with the options "Phone --> PC / backup ", will the files again be copied if they are no more in the destination file ? That's I do not want.
Thank you for your help. Have a nice week-end. |

Its currently not possible to ignore if the photos were already changed on the PC, but its planned for the next release with a setting called "Sync only "new" photos from the phone" |

Thank you for your response.
"It's currently not possible to KNOW if the photos were already CHARGED on the PC."
Waiting for the next release then !
Now, I move the already synchronized photos (those I want to keep on the smartphone without being sync'ed each time I am connected by MPE) in another folder. Fortunately, only the folder DCIM/100MEDIA is sync'ed to the PC when synchronizing the pictures with MPE.
The other folder I created on the smartphone is luckily not synchronized. That's I found as temporary solution.
Have a nice week-end enjoying the indian summer
