Typing non-English in Textinput

MPE is one of most underrated software I discovered and used it all the time. I can't live without it Very Happy

One new feature I found very useful is Textinput where I can use my PC's keyboard to type anything which will show up on the phone. It even works over Bluetooth connection. It's like having a Bluetooth keyboard connected to the phone on demand.

Typing English (probably other western languages as well) is working perfectly but when I tried to enter Chinese using Windows Chinese IME, the characters would show as question masks in Textinput box and on the phone side, they are also showing as random garbled characters.

For testing purpose, I switched my Windows's system locale from English to Chinese and rebooted the PC. When it came back I repeated the same test. This time, as soon as I enter any Chinese characters into the Textinput box, MPE would simply crash.

Both tests were run on 1.8.6 version by the way.

Please advice how to make this work. Thanks in advance.
