Have used MPE successfully for about a year. Latest attempt to sync computer based Outlook Calendar contacts with phone (Motorola M) was totally incorrect. It is like the MPE contact list and the Outlook list have been offset by one or more entries. (e.g. Contact 1 on phone tries to sync with Contact 2 in Outlook; the next sync item is Contact 2 on phone that is trying to sync with Contact 3 in Outlook, etc.)

1. The problem began when I started the multi-sync from the Start/Frequently Used list instead of going to All Programs and choosing MPE.
2. I start the app on my phone (Motorola M) but by the end of the sync attempt another instance of the app is running.
3. The first app instance still shows being connected via WiFi even after the computer based program is closed
4. Error messages include "Connection to phone could not be established, Phone could not be identified"; "Connection to phone not possible"; "OBEX protocol could not be initialized"; Connection to phone could not be established: USB cable: No device attached to USB; WiFi: failed to obtain the IP-address of the phone; SocketError: 10061 - Connection is forcefully rejected"

What other information can I provide that would be helpful in assessing this issue?

It does not look like my Outlook database has been compromised. Should I simply uninstall/re-install the MPE computer program and phone app and start over?

It seems that the Outlook-IDs do not match to the phones contact IDs. I don't think its Outlook who got corrupt. Probably the phonebook database was rebuild on the phone and so all contacts got a new ID. the easiest solution is to delete your current userprofile in MPE and then connect to the phone. MPE will create a new profile for you, then setup to sync with Outlook. On the first sync MPE will try to link the existing contacts by their contactname.

Thanks for the response. I ended up deleting both the phone client and computer MPE versions and re-installing. I am still experiencing issues when I am multi-syncing.

Most frequently I receive a long list of deletes in either the contacts or calendar that don't relate to changes I have made.

Secondly, I receive messages during the sync that connection to the phone could not be made, but the phone client still shows connected. In this situation I close the phone client but will find a second client instance open.

Where MyPhoneExplorer wants to delete the items ? On the PC or on the phone ? Maybe this is caused from the sync timerange (MPE will delete appointments outside the sync timerange on the phone)

Second issue: Please activate the setting "Avoid standby" in the settings of the client and try if it works better with this. If it does not help then post the logfile after it happened. Whenever a sync was aborted by a physical reason then you should do a "Download entire" before the next sync - second button in the toolbar.
