Response: "Connection to phone could not be established: No device attached to USB."

I have been using MPE for years on Win XP Pro. Now I'm finally setting up a new office PC, with Win 7 pro.

I can't get my Samsung phone that has been working fine on MPE (under Win XP) to connect on the Win 7 pc. Just installed the newest Kies and ADB drivers set. I'm in the Administrator account of windows.

I have tried this post's ideas:

No difference.

Kies does operate properly with my phone.

Any guidance appreciated.

Post the logfile after you tried to connect and check the Devicemanager in windows if you see "Samsung ADB Interface" when the phone is connected

I'm travelling out of the office for a few days, and can't post the log from my Win 7 PC, but I may have found the problem when testing MPE on my Win 8 notebook pc.

It seems that Kies Tray Agent application was running, it seemed to monopolize the USB port & connection to the phone. After I stopped the Kies Tray Agent process, MPE worked perfectly.

I'm sure I will find the same issue on my Win 7 pc. Pardon my post, I should have performed a better analysis earlier.
