Bug in messages list (getting messages to show as "Read

So, the scenario is, you have the screen on the "Messages" window. A new text message comes in. I (and many others) read these messages by just highlighting them & reading what's in the little mini-window at the bottom. For any message but the one at the very top (that, again, just came in)...this will result in the message being auto-marked as "Read". But it doesn't work with the very top message.

If the unread message is the TOP message in the list, highlighting it doesn't automatically mark it as read, scroll down one, then back up to the top message & it works...at that point it's marked.

Tested on 3 machines, 2 are Win7, the other (was, decommissioned now) WinXP.

The very above top line is the header for the conversation. You cannot select this, and if you click on it and select the second line (which is the newest message) then it should work. Or would you like to set it as read when the little hover tooltip for the message text is shown for xx seconds ?

I keep mine in "INBOX" mode, not CONVERSATION mode.

Please note that the message gets selected as read after 4 seconds. Just tested and could not reproduce the issue, probably because i do not exactly the same steps like you. How do you highlight the most top message ? Mouseclick or Keyboard Arrow up ?
