On updating your software (which I love) to the new version, everything started to go wrong with the sync. It started to erase calendar entries etc etc. So, I uninstalled MyPhonExplorer and want to start from scratch.
So, how, when I set up a new connection, can I ensure that the sync transfers all of my contacts and calendar entries from the HTC One X phone to the PC and not the other way around, erasing everything on my phone? I cannot find an option in the settings and it worries me greatly. This has probably been covered before but I can't find it so if you could help I really would appreciate it. Thanks in advance, Cacofonix. |

1st of all, do not connect your phone to your PC. Open up MPE and go to FILE/Settings. Select Sync and then for each sync select Outlook. Then to the right of each sync you select 'Advanced.' A pop up box will appear. Then under Sync Mode select 'Force phone -> Outllook.' Then select OK, then OK Again. Open up Outlook and make sure you back it up before making any changes. If you want to make a backup of your phone first, then for each sync select 'Only MyPhoneExplorer.' Connect your phone and make sure it connects with MPE. go to Extras/Start Multi-sync. Once the phone has synced with MPE on the PC go to Extras/Create backup. Once you have backed it up. You can go back to sync and change the syncs to Outlook and for each Advanced option select Force Phone -> Outlook. Select the OKs and then you can run the multi-sync. That should be it. Outlook and MPE phone and PC should all be the same. If you want to sync your phone and outlook then you need to make sure you change the Advanced sync for each to 'Both.' Remember You can never make too many backups. |
