How to set-up a new '.ical' file
Verfasst: Mo 17. Mär 2014, 14:06
Setting up a new iCal file:
1) Create a plain ics file. e.g., C:\mycalendar.ics -> just a empty file.
2) Goto: Settings -> Sync -> Events and Tasks frame -> click Advanced -> Calendars to sync.
3)Then add your new .ics file in the advanced sync settings for iCal-Sync
(first press "+" to add a calendar and then press the ".." button on the right side, to select the file)
There's only one reference on how to do this (that I could find).
I searched for some time and the reason for my confusion, it seems, was that the relevant thread's Subject line was on a different matter!
I have expanded on FJ's reply with line 2), since it took a bit of trial and error to locate exactly the spot in the program where this is to be done. The localization refers to terminology used in MPE v1.8.5.
This isn't a question, but just a contribution to FJ's work in making available this wonderful program. I hope it helps another user find the answer more quickly -- since the forum posts for MPE serve as as the Help, Documentation and Users' Manual, all in one. Perhaps moving the information in the final post of this thread to the Subject line of a new post may help.
