I cannot connect to the above phone but MPE used to connect to my HTC Rezound.
Can this be resolved?

I have done all the steps previously from that post and nothing works.
On the Galaxy S4 there is no method of choosing "Charge Only". Have searched that and talked to Samsung. Not provided.
I am unable to connect via bluetooth, wifi and USB but my preference and efforts have been towards USB.
I don't know how to get a logfile. When I attempt to connect from the PC, I get a dialog box stating no device found. I used the same PC to connect to an older phone, HTC Rezound and it worked perfectly.

I couldn't get my Galaxy S4 to connect to MPE until I installed Samsung Kies which included a driver for the S4. I think since then (when the phone first came out), Samsung now has a separate driver to download/install instead of the big bloated Kies installation.

I downloaded the latest Kies and installed it but there is much on the internet claiming the new Kies (3.0) has issues working with the S4. Looked around on Samsung site but didn't locate any drivers.

What have your results been with wifi? For example, can you 'ping' the phone from your PC when the phone is connected to the same wifi? Hidden 'ssid's can sometimes cause problems. And I had to assign my phone a fixed ip address to ensure it would connect (though this was a long time ago and I haven't tested it witout a fixed ip recently so that may work more reliably. Oh, and I assign a fixed ip by binding to the phone's mac address via my router, that way i don't have to change anything when I go out and about).
