Hi,
I have a Smartphone with a PC running MS Outlook 2010 32bit.
I have 947 Calendar Events of which 74 are recurring Birthday and Anniversary Events.

On the smartphone I started syncing from Contacts as first action. At MPE sync completion I now have on the device and on MPE 75 new Events in the calendar section. (I do not understand where is the additional one when instead I have 74 recurrent records on Outlook. But this is less important).

Now I wish to Sync my Calendar but MPE tells me to:
- remove 75 events from the Smartphone;
- add 968 new records.

What is wrong or what am I not understanding? Why would MPE wish to remove 75 records and add more calendar data than what I have?
I would assume MPE Calendar should only say "947 New records will be addes. Those 75 existing ones how will they be handled? Will MPE remove the recurrent Birthday or Anniversary from the contact record (which should not at all)?

Can someone please help and explain what to do, how to interpret this? I will not sync Calendar and Activities b/w MPE and Outlook till I get this properly done.

When you sync the contacts with MyPhoneExplorer then the calendar of the phone will be not touched. But Samsung has a "Birthday calendar" which generates the events automatically from the contact database (this happens outside the reach of MyPhoneExplorer).

Probably you did set the calendar sync "Force Outlook -> phone" this is the reason why MyPhoneExplorer wants to delete the 75 events from phone - cause they do not exist in Outlook. The difference of 947 Outlook appointments and 968 MyPhoneExplorer appointments can be explained with exceptions of recurring appointments. When you move or edit a single occurence of a recurring appointment in Outlook the MyPhoneExplorer will create a seperate appointment on the phone for the exception.

To fix the problems with the phones ability to generate appointments you could exclude the birthday calendar from sync or even better - create a new local calendar on the phone and sync only with this one. You can realize this in the settings of MyPhoneExplorer Client on the phone.

I was able to solve the problem simply by just accepting the sync and hoping all was going well. Indeed all went well without having changed anything.
