I just updated my phone to Android 4.4 from 4.3 on my Nexus 4. My Phone explorer works great except for 1 important part. I can NO longer delete SMS messages from my PC desktop (windows 8.1 - myphone V 1.8.5) software. receives and sends messages but cannot remove them from the phone. I have to manually delete all sms messages from the phone now. An error message pops up on my desktop software saying "Cannot delete message "..."" when trying to delete or archive the message.

Please let me know if there is or will be a fix for this issue ASAP.

I think a few of us are waiting on this also. I guess it is more the Android client rather than 1.8.5 which needs updating.

Is this to be installed on the phone or PC? How do you recommend to install it on the phone as I have only installed apps from google play?

Ok, i figured it out. It works however my phone keeps on popping up a message that says "change default app to myphoneclient : yes : No" when archiving messages.

Actually it doesn't really work. It doesn't archive messages just delete them. None of the messages show up in my archive folder. Might have to revert back as this app is not working right

You have to commit the message for changing the default SMS app. This is not my idea, Android KitKat does allow only the default SMS app write access in the SMS-Database. After the action you will be asked to change back the previous default setting.

well that's not the only issue. Even when I allow it to be the default app. Sure it appears that the software works as normal but in fact the messages do not get archived they are deleted as I don;t see them in my archive folder.

Sorry, i am not able to understand your problem.

when you archive sms messages from the desktop myphone software the messages don't appear in the archive folder. They disappear or simply get deleted.

You mean if you move the messages from the conversation view to the archive ? If yes then i could not reproduce this issue, please post the logfile.

nevermind i figured it out. There was a new older that I couldn't see in my archive folder
