Today I got the following virus alert from the Symantec Antivirus software:
Scan type: Auto-Protect Scan
Event: Risk Found!
Risk: VirusBurst
File: C:\Documents and Settings\xxxx\My Documents\Downloads\MyPhoneExplorer_Setup_1.5.9.exe
Location: C:\Documents and Settings\xxxx\My Documents\Downloads
Action taken: Pending Side Effects Analysis : Access denied
Date found: den 26 mars 2007 00:01:41
Scan type: Auto-Protect Scan
Event: Security Risk Found!
Risk: VirusBurst
File: C:\Documents and Settings\xxxx\My Documents\Downloads\MyPhoneExplorer_Setup_1.5.9.exe
Location: Quarantine
Action taken: Quarantine succeeded : Access denied
Date found: måndag 26 mar 2007 01:52:53
Symantec also pointed to an info page at the web:
<http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2006-090516-0204-99>
However, as far as I can see (from the info on the web page) there is no VirusBurst application installed in my computer, so I guess that this is a false alarm. But it would still be interesting to know why MyPhoneExplorer triggered the alarm...
