Donation for no-adware/malware installer

I managed to get snap.do installed along with version 1.8.5, even though I'm confident I unchecked all the extra boxes during the setup. I've also read in a number of places other people stating the same thing.

So, how much of a donation would it take to get a Windows version that contains *no* extra "helper apps" (no snap.do, no nothing)?

I'm still having problems removing all the snap.do junk!

I´m afraid FJ is not willing to offer a totally ad-free version of the MPE.

Unfortunally it is a common problem of money making installers, which plagues not only the MPE installer.

Solution(s):

1) Be very sure to not accept the installation of any bloatware offered (many people will just click next without reading whats is being installed)

2) If you have administrative privileges, disable the network card before running the MPE installer, and re-enable it after the installer has exited. No access to the Internet --> no bloatware will be even presented. Of course the access to any network service will be interrupted as well.

3) If you are using Ethenet and cannot use method 2 above, unplug the network cable.

By the way - i approve that snap.do is too junky, also in my opinion. Cause of this i have banned this tool from the ad Screen.

Does that mean that you still have it automatically installed, but simply not displayed by MPE? I do not like the idea of it taking over the Chrome's home page when I choose to use it. Installing snap.do should be a choice during installation. :-(

It is NOT installed automatically. You can uncheck or Skip the installation of ad promoted tools in the setup.

I hear you and I am saying that after making the proper choice, snap.do showed up.

I am not losing sleep over this. My preference would be to see you modernize MPE's GUI, making it more intuitive. :P
