Syncing MPE with Outlook - multiple calenders

Hi all,

I have been using MPE for a month or 3 now, and I'm really exited about this app.

However, there is one thing I just can't figure out:

I want to use multiple calenders, and sync them with Outlook.

In Outlook I have one PST file, with different Calenders (so different Calender item folders).
In MPE, I made different "Local Calenders", which should correspond with the Calenders I created in Outlook.
On my computer, I indicated the correct Calenders in the sync settings.
On my phone, in the MPE settings, I indicated the correct Local Calenders to be synced.

Now my question is, how can I route the Outlook calenders to the corresponding local calenders?

The problem is that when I add an item in my calender on my computer, it always shows up in the first "Local Calender" on my phone, and not in the "Local Calender" that I want it to be...

Does anyone know if this is (already) possible? Or am I missing something here?

Thanks in advance,
Regards,

Please don't shoot me if a similar topic already exists in the German section. I searched the English section and didn't find an answer to my question.

MPE developpers: keep up the good work, and thank you for the great free app!

Have you gone into the settings of the MPE app on the phone and set the 'calendar to add events to'?

dvhttn,

Thank you for your suggestion.

Actually, I didn't think of that.

However, I'm afraid this will not resolve my problem.

Lets say I have 3 different calenders (A's should be synced, B's should be synced, C's should be synced):

Outlook:
A-->Calender_pc_1
B-->Calender_pc_2
C-->Calender_pc_3

Phone:
A-->PC Sync (default local calender by MPE)
B-->Local_calender_2
C-->Local_calender_3

My problem is that when I add an event on my phone in i.e. "Local_calender_3", when I sync, it is put in "Calender_pc_1" allthough I want it to be added to "Calender_pc_3", the corresponding one...

And the other way around, when I add an event in Outlook in "Calender_pc_2", when I sync, it is put in "PC Sync" and not in "Local_calender_2".

Your suggestion enables me to change the default Phone Calender from PC Sync to another one, but this doesn't fix my problem.

Or did I miss your point?

I appreciate your help!

OK. So you can choose where the calendars get added to the phone my way. Have you checked with the MPE client on the PC?

File > Settings > Sync > (Calendar) Advanced > Folder to sync ...?

I only have the one calendar on my Outlook (well, also a shared calendar which I never use) which is ticked. If you have entries for Calender_pc_1, Calender_pc_2 and Calender_pc_3 then you can choose the appropriate one.
Not ideal as it'd be nice to be able to sync them in one go but ...... :-)

Does that work?

Indeed, that solves my problem.

A lot of hassle though, but you're right.

I hope one day the "mapping" will exist. That day I'll become an ever bigger fan of MPE than I already am.

Thank you for your support!

@FJ: thank you for your reply.

Glad to hear that this will be included in the next version.
I will certainly test it, and let you know if I found anything odd.

You could use Google Calendar Sync to do this with each PC logging into the same Gmail account.

Spile,

Thank you for your suggestion, but I'm not really a Gmail fanatic. I rely on Outlook for a lot of stuff, so it will be nice to have this option in the future.

The sync with Google is implemented for older SonyEricsson Phones. If you have an Android phone and you want to use Google Calendar then you should integrate the calendar directly. No need to do it with MyPhoneExplorer.
