Is what I am getting some sort of issue with MyPhoneExplorer?
If not, could someone suggest how to stop it?
PC version 1.8.6
Phone client Version 1.0.34
Motorola Moto G
I am finding my contacts as visible from MyPhoneExplorer multiplying, with multiple new versions of contacts being created - but each has no data in any of the form fields, just the name field.
I am unclear whether this is something related to Outlook, something cause by the PC client or something on the phone. I typically find when viewing the MyPhoneExplorer-Contacts >ALL That There can be many empty versions of a contact, perhaps seven or eight.
Within Outlook on the PC I have two address books "Contacts" and "Contacts Mobile". This is just bad housekeeping I do admit, and are not synchronized but completely unrelated to this.
The MyPhoneExplorer-Contacts-ALL shows all these from both address books, PLUS numerous empty field name duplicates which don't seem to appear within either Outlook address book.
MY sync settings are "Sync both" so as (I guess) sync both ways from outlook. This appears to be working fine.
So any ideas about all these empty name duplicates, or where they originate? |

I don't think it has to do with Outlook.
Zitat: | but each has no data in any of the form fields, just the name field. |
There are some social media apps which cause this behaviour. You can makle the "Account" column visible in the contactlist of MPE, rightclick the columnheader. Then check from which account the dupes are and unselect this contact-account in "Contact accounts to sync" in the settings of MPE Client on the phone. |

Thank you FJ.
You seem to have hit the nail on the head. I think the problem was "Waze" navigation app which a colleague insisted on installing for me and I have now also removed:). |
