MPE not working after upgrade to Android 4.1.2

Good afternoon,
I'm contacting you as I receintly upgrade my phone to Android 4.1.2 and since the upgrade, I'm not able to sync with my PC anymore.
I have a Windows 7 laptop with Outlook 2010.
I was perfectly able to sync with Android 4.0
After the upgrade, I uninstalled/re-installed both the Android and the PC client, but still no luck.
I also looked around in different forums, but couldn't find a solution.
MPE is able to connect to my phone (via Wifi, USB or Bluetooth), but if I try to sync or even just download the list of contacts, I get an error message stating:
OBEX Errorcode: 00 - Phone didn't answer

If I check the log of MPE (using the view log button in settings)

It seems that MyPhoneExplorer client crashes on the phone.

- close MyPhoneExplorer on the phone and on the PC
- launch MyPhoneExplorer in debugmode (Start-Run-myphoneexplorer debug-OK)
- connect via USB
- reproduce the issue
- send me the files Debug.txt AND AndroidDebug.txt from %appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer zipped via email with a link to this thread.

Debug mode

Good evening,
I just wanted to inform you that I started the client in debug mode, and it worked.
I was able to synchronise without any issue.
I also restarted the client in normal mode and I'm able to sync as well.
Thanks a million!

Thanks Ben! Your tip lets me sync again. XP recognizes my Samsung I717 & so can sync, but restarting doesn't work for me. I can't get that far. As soon as I un-check USB Debugging, my phone disconnects from my computer. I must stay in Developer / Debug mode. Since I have tried Samsung Drivers for Mobile Phones v1.3.2200, v1.5.14, & v1.5.23, with no change, should I post this to a Google Forum instead?

For USB connections, USB Debugging must be (and stay) activated.
What Ben mentioned, was starting MyPhoneExplorer on PC in debug mode.

Actually, what Ben said was that he was then able to use MPE in normal mode. Further, I never had to be in debug mode before the "upgrade". Neither instance agrees with your claim that one needs to be in debug mode.

USB Cnnection without USB-Debugging is impossible.
The only exception is HTC, when you plug in a HTC phone then the USB-Debugging mode is activated automatically cause HTC Sync does also work throught this mode.
