I was able to install MPE V1.8.4 on my PC and my phone (RAZR).
I was able to sync my contacts and calendar successfully with Outlook 2000.
Then I went to the file section, and chose to look at files on the microSD card in my phone. I was able to drag files from various directoris onto my PC for backup.
The problem comes when I do this at a later time. When I drag a file from the files window in MPE onto my PC for backup, it is not always the most current file on the phone.... even though I had clicked the "refresh" button on MPE. In order for things to work properly, I usually have to do something like rename the file on the phone, then the new name shows up on the MPE files window, then I rename it back. Then when I drag the file to my PC it is the proper version of the file. Is something being cached somewhere causing this?

Also, I am not sure of how to use the upload and download features of MPE, nor how to do a multisync which apparently would let me do a sync of contacts, calendar, and files from the phone to my PC; (Outlook, and a folder where I backup my files.

Any help would be appreciated since there is no help in the program.

I like the program well enough, that if I could get these questions answered, I'd use the donate feature to the writer.

I usually keep the files on my PC and transfer the ones a need to my phone or tablet, so sync tablet to PC is not the issue, since files are normally edited or created at the PC level and the phone or tablet works as a read only item. The files that I do sync are the Notes, calendar, task and contacts, which the program does without fail.

By the way, MPE does not show the files in the extended sd card. Why is that? Maybe I am doing something wrong?

MyPhoneExplorer does cache the files. If the filesize is still equal then MyPhoneExplorer will choose the file from cache. You can force a refresh with the small refresh-button in the details frame on bottom.
