Categories in Outlook disappeared after sync. PANIC!

I just realized that after syncing all the categories in my Outlook 2007 disappeared and were replaced by a new "My contacts" category.
I have work hard during 10 years with categories and feel PANIC!

I have a back-up which is a few days old by now. Is it possible just to roll-back the contacs to avoid loosing all the emails from teh öast days?

A roll back is not possible. Restore your Outlook Backup and then sync "Force Outlook -> phone"

A last question: Does your program support the sync of Categories?
Or to out it this way: If I first sync "Force Outlook -> phone" and then later make a normal bi-directional sync, will the categories stay intact?

For the contact sync MyPhoneExplorer does support categories - they are mapped into the groups field. For Calendar, tasks and notes categories are currently not supported.
