All of a sudden the PC cannot see the phone via wifi. If I turn off wifi on the phone, it syncs via usb. I've removed and re-installed the client and app. I can ping the phone successfully. PC is cleaned of viruses, malware and Firewall is enabling MPE.
Phone is Galaxy 3, at&t.
Any suggestions?

Restarting the wifi router had no effect.
The phone can access the internet via wifi and so can the PC.
MPE on the phone says that is connected via wifi.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Try a 'search' on this forum if you haven't already as there have been several threads like this. Search for my username for how I make sure I stay connected on wifi. But you should also check your router make/model and whether it's up to date with the manufacturers firmware but bear in mind that some older routers don't work reliably for some reason (which I've never bothered checking out as mine does work).

Does the ip address in the MPE (on PC) Connection settings agree with the actual ip of the phone? |

yes. I did just have it on wifi, but just changed it to fixed. Also changed it on my router to be static.
If I plug in the USB cable to sync, it won't work unless I turn of the wifi and bluetooth on the phone.
Everything had been working for months, until this week.... |

How do I get MPE to ask for the PIN again? I changed it and I get the same results. Could not seeing the pin be the root of the problem? |

Hmm. Dunno. I never have mine asking for a PIN as, personally, I find it to be unnecessary. Have you tried turning the PIN off, then resetting it? |

well, I changed my wifi password then restarted everything. MPE ( PC) asked for the password and everything is working at the moment.
