wifi is connected, but client doesn't seem to see it, PC doesn't see phone as connected. Phone says wifi is on when I open the client, but the client icon is greyed out & the icon is greyed out on the computer task tray as well. They when I ask it to connect, can't connect.
Also cannot find phone with USB.
Was fine yesterday, have not done anything with it between now and then. Wifi has always seemed to be a bit hit or miss, would not connect and then be fine, even though I had a 5 bar signal on the phone. What else do i need to be looking at/ doing?

I had problems when my phone was getting it's IP address via DHCP, thus getting, potentially, a different ip address each time it was within range of my router. I changed the router settings to use the 'bind ip to mac' option so my phone now gets the same ip address each time but, most importantly, I have not had to fix the ip address on the phone. Works for me.

Saying that, have you tried resetting your router? Also, it seems, from reading on here and other forums, that some older routers need "retiring" ....

See ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_Ho ... n_Protocol ... but basically it's the process whereby your phone will get an ip address AUTOMATICALLY from your wifi router. This address may or may not be the same one each time your phone connects, it'll depend on what else has connected to your network. What I did was ensure that this ip address was the same each time.
