Sequence of simulated buttons on MyPhoneExplorer phone panel

I like the "Control phone" feature of MyPhoneExplorer because I have been using a similar feature with my Windows Mobile phone for years.

But now that I have made a modest donation to MyPhoneExplorer I am bold enough to make a suggestion for an enhancement.

My phone has fixed buttons, left to right: Home; Search; Back; Menu.

Contrast with MyPhoneExplorer's: Menu; Home; Back.

Any possibility of an option so I can set the sequence to match the hardware?

Mike.

I will not implement the search button, but i decided to make the button order optional in the next update. You will be able to choose it through a right click on the toolbar in the next version.

Thank you, I look forward to that change.

I have another small suggestion for the same feature: I keep forgetting to check "Refresh automatically" and then wonder why the screen mirror is not working. Could there be an option to make this the default setting?

This setting does cause often problems so to be honest - it should not be saved. Every action on the screen (f.e. a click) does force a refresh too.

Here's a little tip to tell you if it's something that'll cause YOU problems.

Ctrl/shift/ESC (to bring up task manager on your pc).
Bring up MPE & enable the phone control. Turn on auto-refresh.

Now watch your processor usage on your PC...if it spikes to 90+%...and stays there...auto-refresh ain't for you.

FJ: I'll second his request though, that it be something that CAN be saved...even if there's a caveat somewhere in the settings saying "this may cause problems".

It becomes a pain to have to click that checkbox every time I open the control.

Thanks for that clarification; I had wondered if the mysterious "problem" mentioned was just CPU usage. I had already noticed that, and un-checked if/when I didn't need the phone control. Hopefully I then remember to re-check when I want refresh again. ("Now what did I come in here for?")

No, the CPU usage is interesting but thats not the problem.

It seems that newer devices have a stability issue in the interface where MyPhoneExplorer does download the screenshot. After about 10 minutes permanent updating the service on the phone shuts down and "Control phone" does not work anymore until the phone is restarted

Ah, thank you I am seeing exactly that (it's just happened again). I'll be more careful in future!
