MyPhoneExplorer desktop won't display Calendar list on hover

I have MyPhoneExplorer 1.8.4 open on my desktop {Windows XP Pro SP3} showing a Calendar monthly view. It syncs Calendar and Tasks with Outlook 2003 and I then sync that with an HTC Wildfire S phone, running Android 2.3.3, using a Bluetooth connection.

If on the desktop I hover the mouse over MPE on a particular day, a 'yellow' popup window opens showing the whole day's expanded list of items. However, if the number of entries for a day is too big {I don't know how many is 'too big'}, then a popup window opens that stretches from the top of the screen down to the top of the Windows Taskbar at the bottom. The popup window appears to display the expanded daily list in the usual way, with the earliest item at the top, then going down chronologically through the day. {The window is not long enough to display the whole day's entries.}

However, the popup window will not stay open, BUT FLASHES ON AND OFF REPEATEDLY, so long as the mouse stays over the particular day. {If it's relevant, the popup window flashes on and off approximately 45 times a minute.}

I was able to reproduce it, but it seems windows itself does generate the flashes. While flashing MyPhoneExplorer does absolutly nothing, this makes it hard to find the reason. But i will keep this issue in my mind
