I recently installed the Samsung 4.1.2 android on to my Galaxy sII I9100. Since then, when I open an SMS on MPE, the notification for the SMS does not get reset and shows an unread count on both the lock screen and message app icon. I am then unable to mark the sms as read until a new sms comes in, even on the phone.

Is there a work round for this?

I also use a sony smartwatch, and if I open a SMS with that, the messages gets marked as read correctly, but only if opened before the message is read in MPE

Did you install a official ROM or was it a custom ROM ? This sound like a bug in the firmware

Hi it was an official bur pre release rom, I will wait and see what the full release does.

Just downloaded and installed the latest official release and still exibiting the same issues


Edit: Just noticed, the notification in the bar and the lock screen is clearing, but only after 5-10 mins.


Edit 2: More info. It is the new built in "Message alert repetition" function in Jelly Bean that is clearing the notifications. If set to 10 mins, it clears after 10 mins, if set to 2, it takes 2 for the notification to clear. Hope this helps.
