Can I set a WIFI fixed IP address?

Hi,
on my router, I have 2 wired computers, a WIFI laptop, a tablet, and my phone. Every so often I can't connect to MPE. The only fix is to reboot the router. I am guessing it is because the router assigns IP addresses as needed and the one MPE uses when it was setup in my phone is now assigned to another device.

I see on my PC MPE software that there is a setting for a fixed IP, but I don't see a place to set that on the phone.

Am I on the right track that a fixed IP will solve my WIFI problem? If so, how do I set it on the phone. ......If not, what would be a solution?

Thanks for the great software!

You could try to assign a fixed IP to your phone by reserving it's MAC address in your router. Don't know which router you have, but it should be possible in the DHCP settings of your router.

best regards...

Thanks! I tried what you said in my Netgear router. Under "Attached Devices" I ADDED the IP address that the MPE app in the phone listed, then put in the MAC Address of the phone.

It works now. I'll monitor it as I turn on and off my other wireless devices.

Thanks again for your suggestion.
