Slow download rate.

Hello,

I have a Bluetooth USB dongle that is v2.0 capable. I've set MyPhoneExplorer to the highest baud rate and packet size but cannot achieve speeds above 60ksec when downloading my photos from my phone to my PC.

Can anyone help? Does MyPhoneExplorer support the full speed of Bluetooth v2.0?

laze.

The speed has nothing to do with Bluetooth-Specifications, it depends on the phones software. MyPhoneExplorer uses the full range of speed. With my phone (and by all other users i know) the speed cannot be faster then 45 KB/sec.

Hello,

My phone is Bluetooth v2.0 also.

Please explain.

Once again - it depends not on the BT-Standard - the speed is limited from the phones software.

Ok,

You're suggesting that although my k800i supports Bluetooth v2.0, which you should know has everything to do with speed, it's the firmware that's limiting the transfer rate between my k800i and MyPhoneExplorer?

Yes - the firmware slows down the speed. You can try also other Apps with Bluetooth. There is no way to make it faster.

That's a terrible shame.

Hopefully SE will provide an update.

I i have the same problem, but there's one detail with it. If i use MyPhoneExplorer to download photos from my phone, download speed is about 17-20 kbps. But if I use other programs (e.g. "bluesoleil"), I have full speed 100-110 kbps.

what's wrong with my settings in MyPhoneExplorer?

I use MyPhoneExplorer ver. 1.7.2, phone is SonyEricsson W810i

p.s. please, excuse my bad english :)

Update to the newest version of MyPhoneExplorer, disable "Stabel connection" if it was selected and try the above tips.

MyPhoneExplorer doesn't control the speed. The speed is controlled throught the driver and the phone, for Bluetooth its controlled throught the Bluetooth-Stack (in your case BlueSoleil)
