HTC Sensation screen unresponsive

Hi, when I attach my HTC sensation by USB to my computer, although the link with MyPhoneExplorer works, my HTC touch screen becomes very poorly responsive and I struggle to change the connection type, or have any influence on the screen. In otherwords, I want to change from tethering mode to say, disk connect mode, but unable to get the cell-phone to respond as normal. Is this a bug? Would also be great if MyPhoneExplorer allows the exploring of images. (Still evaluating the program)

Sounds strange, never heard abou this issue. You should the USB-Connection Method to "Charge only"

I have tried all the options allowed:
Charge only
HTC Sync
Disk Drive
USB tethering
Internet pass-through (not tried)

All give the same problem. Once connected, whatever the choice, unable to get the touch screen to be responsive - is intermittently responsive and does not always accept the choice I make.

I have uninstalled the client on the HTC and find the problem still persists, even after disabling my virus program. So the problem is not with MyPhoneExplorer but another problem by the looks of it!

I think this will not help. At the point where you plug in the phone the app is not active. But you can try it, also try it one time without launched MyPhoneExplorer on PC

The HTC Sensation has known "grounding" issues that affect the screen responsiveness, try holding the phone when you operate the screen, see this video for a demonstration.

If you are feeling brave, here is a DIY guide on how to fix it:

This is not an MPE issue.

This is it! :D

Well done for finding this, thank you! However I cannot touch just the side of the phone, I have to hold the phone completely in my hand. Still, it does resolve the problem I have. Luckily I only have this problem when connecting to the USB port, and not all the time.

Thank you very much for finding the cause, and hopefully this gives an answer to anyone else with a similar problem.
