Hello,
Is there a way to remove all notes and tasks from the phone (X10 mini pro) and then do a new sync to get rid of all duplicate entries that I have in the phone.

Can you reproduce the problem with the duplicates ?

I've been using MPE for quite a long time now, so first thanks for developing the only satisfactory sync app for outlook/android users.

I just installed MPE in my new S4 Active and after syncing Outlook data to the phone I see in MPE tasks that most tasks are synced twice (duplicates?). I can't delete tasks from the phone app, so I deleted all tasks in MPE Desktop, and forced-synced anew from Outlook to phone. MPE first delets all tasks from phone, then asks for confirmation to delete tasks in Outlook (long list of tasks with the option to choose sync direction), I choose force sync from Outlook to phone, and confirm. Almost all tasks are synced to phone again in pairs (duplicates), yet there are a few tasks which are transferred without duplicates. By the way, there are no duplicates in the task list below the calendar in MPE Desktop.

Any clues as to what may be happening?

If you click on "Download entire" - the second button in the toolbar. Are the Tasks still not duplicate in the Task list of MyPhoneExplorer ? Why you cannot delete them on the phone ? Just Long-press a Task to get the menu.

First, about deleting tasks in the phone, my apollogies: my mistake, the option is there, for some reason I couldn't get to it before.

About 'download entire': I tried to 'download entire' without deleting all tasks in the program first. The program kept the duplicates without change.

Then I did the following: I cancelled the option to sync tasks in Settings/Sync in MPE, I deleted all tasks in MPE desktop and then synced. This way all tasks were deleted from phone without re-syncing them from Outlook. Then, I set the program to sync tasks again, and pressed download entire, which downloaded from Outlook all tasks, including completed tasks, but without duplicates.

However, my first post related to the problem that somehow duplicates were created only in the phone at first, but then those duplicates would be synced back into Outlook and into MPE, so that I found myself deleting duplicates in Outlook in order to get back the original task list.

Here's what I believe the bug is: while deleting duplicates in Outlook, I realized that there was a difference between them - in the number of categories to which the task duplicate belonged. For example, one of the tasks in a pair of duplicates would belong only to category "Building Contractors", while the other copy would belong to that category and in addition to category "Project A". So the problem seems to be that when a task is changed from one category to another, or is added to a new category in addition to the first, MPE reads the task after the change as a new one.

For the time being I stopped syncing tasks, because I change task categories often and it was creating an enormous amounts of duplicates. I hope you'll be able to fix the problem soon. I'd be glad to assist.

I tried now alot things with the categories and i was not able to reproduce the issue. If it happens again - please document every step so ist possible for me to reproduce the issue.
