Hi
I have gotten my Samsung SII back from service.
After installing everything I now have the problem, that every SMS send from the PC via bluetooth will be recieved twice in the other end.
And I only have one entry.
Sending from the phone sends only one.
Michael
My Phone is Samsung Galaxy SII with ICS (Android 4.0.3).
I have installed Handcent SMS.
I have tried USB Cable and Bluetooth connection.
Both sends 2.
This setup has worked fine for me sinse august 2011. Its just after it came back from service this problem has come.

Its a known bug of CM9, did the service install a official Samsung update ? I think not, it seems a to be a custom ROM.
The logfile is OK. You see them twice cause the send string is read back, this is protocol specific. AT+CMGS does send the message, AT+CMGW does save it into sent messages

It
is an official release from Samsung installed from Kies.
But I have had an custom one installed. Then my vibrator broke, I downgraded to official 2.3.6 from Samsung, tested vibrator, updated to 4.0.3 from samsung through Kies. Vibrator still broken. I have had it to service. Vibrator is now working, and it is an officíal Samsung Android 4.0.3 thats installed.

I just bought an Vehicle Dock. Sending SMS from this (talking to the phone) also send SMS twice.
I think it has nothing to do with MPE, but rather the build from Samsung.

And a link to a thread, which confirms that its an Samsung and/or Google error.
But Handcent and other have managed to fix this problem.
So MPE should also be able to?

Same problem here. Myphoneexplorer causes my Galaxy S2 to send duplicate messages since I installed the new Android version. Sending through the phone itself works fine.
I have tried resyncing everything, removing alternate dialers etc. Also messing about with the settings for the text message apps.. But nothing. I can't think of any more solutions.
I can't use Myphoneexplorer as it is now.

Well - Samsung is not very fast or very keen to implement this fix.
Is there ANY posibility that you will implement a fix in MPE (like Handcent has done)?
It would be VERY appriciated!

Yes, the problem STILL persists.
Double sms every time from MPE and all my friends are really getting tired of it.

There is already a fix of Samsung in roll out so why i should waste my time with a issue which will be soon past ?

I implemented now a workaround, please install the current beta of the app and tell me if it does work: ww.fjsoft.at/mpeclient.apk
