MPE has stopped synching Lotus Notes Contacts to my phone

Hi,
I have MPE 1.8.2 installed on a Windows XP laptop. I've been using MPE to synch my Lotus Notes Contacts and Calendar successfully for a few weeks now.
The most reliable way I have found to do this is as follows...
For Contacts:
First I delete all my Contacts on my phone, then, with MPE set to "Force Notes->Phone", I do the synch and MPE copies all my Contacts from Lotus Notes to my phone. (I've tried using the "Synch both" setting in MPE but had some problems so found this is the most reliable method).
For my Calendar:
I synch my Calendar with MPE set to "Synch both" which seems to work fine.
BUT...
Yesterday, I followed this process but MPE wouldn't copy ANY OF MY CONTACTS from Lotus notes to my phone! I have tried setting MPE to "Synch both", tried rebooting laptop and phone, tried everything several times. Still the same result... MPE runs the synch but doesn't copy any contacts! The Calendar synch is still working fine. I have nearly 500 contacts in Lotus Notes which I need on my phone, I'm tearing my hair out and completely at a loss as to what to try next!
Please help!

Well... I've solved the problem but I don't know what the problem actually was! To share with you in case happens to anyone else...
In desperationI uninstalled and reinstalled MPE on laptop and phone. In the uninstall on the laptop I selected the option to remove all phone details, content, etc aswell. So when reintalling I was effectively starting again from scratch.
It now works again!
I can only presume some sort of corruption occured.

This is NOT recommened. The contacts on the phone will get only a deletion-flag. In real your phone database will grow and grow. You can use "Force Notes->Phone" but do NOT delete all phone contacts before sync

Really? ok - that's interesting, I thought that by deleting from the phone first, then copying everything over anew each time would be ok as long as I treat my Lotus Notes contacts as the "master" and don't add/amend contacts directly on the phone.
Are you saying that I would be better to use "Sync both". Does using "Sync both" ensure you don't get a build up of contacts over time?

To use "Force Lotus -> Phone" is OK, Lotus will be the master in this case. Deleting all contacts before sync is problematic, especially with huge phonebooks with 500 and more contacts. If you want to have a copy from Lotus on your phone then use "Force Lotus -> phone", if you edit contacts from time to time also on the phone then use "Sync both"

And by the way... for the record, I think MPE is a fantastic bit of software! And in my experience unique in what it does! As you have "admin" against your Id I presume you are part of the MPE team... if so... well done and keep up the good work!! :-)
