hello,

i am using myphoneexplorer for quite some time now. Unfortunately, its been months since I did a backup of the sms archieves on my computer.

I noticed that when I was saving the new sms on my phone to the archive, all my previous sms are not there. the archieve does not contain anything. Eveything has been erased. How can i restore the contents of the archive files? is it saved on any folder on my computer? I wanted to restore everything, not just the one I backup. Please help.. I hope there's still a way for me to restore them.

Thanks

Hi

i change this to the right forum.

Please look into the preferences, the last point.. There is a path to your database..

All archives have the ending .dat

Please look at
C:\Documents...\<user>\applications\MyPhoneExplorer\<Modell> <IMEI>\
too

Titel: restore archived sm

Thanks for the reply. Thats the first location I look into.

But I guess all my old archieves has been overwritten. I only see one sms.dat in that location. and i guess it contains the latest archieves i have. I dunno what happen but all my old archieves has been delete. is there a way to undo or get my files back? I badly need them.

I don't know what you have done with the archives, but if this is the only phone-database you have no chance to get the old archive back.

this is too bad for a program like this..
i've trusted it to handle my personal phone data. now i don't trust this program anymore.
what kind of program simply delete user created files without asking first??
normally this kind of files remain in the disk even when the program has been uninstalled. it happens with all kind of computer programs!

..it's like uninstalling ms office and loss all my personal documents.
a shame.

MyPhoneExplorer never deletes the file without permission. It was a problem in the last major-versions but it was fixed since 6 month.
now i don't trust this program anymore.
No problem - i never said you MUST use THIS software, you didn't pay any money and on my homepage you can read that you have to use it on your own risk.
