MyPhoneExplorer now sends double sms every time, sent through the windows program, same as every third party software does after the update to ICS 4.0.3.

Please look it up.

E.G, the reccievers of sms gets two sms, after every single sms I send through the myphoneexplorer.exe sms application on windows.

Did you install a official update for your S2 ? If not then its probably a bug in your custom ROM

Yes, I updated via Kies.
I have now returned to original 2.3.5 and it works great again.
I will not update to 4.0.3 before I get a confirmation here that it works again since I depend on MPE.
99% of my sms is sent via my computer.

Great program anyhows, even if you don't fix this particular bug.

Since I have established contact with you finally, I would also like to know if you have any hardware or software tips on maintaining a stable bluetooth connection over time?

It seems that I have to create a new com40 connection on a random number of times every day, when using it daily, due to random disassociation over the com-port.

I have tried a relative great number of android devices and bluetooth dongles with the exact same issue, I have also tried it on xp, vista and 7, both x86 and x64 versions to be able to exclude a windows bug.

I actually have spent over 100 hours on the subject without luck including asking other people, both friends and on forums without success.

I should also ad that I use a usb cable for my daily work, since it is the only way to keep the connection stable.
But I would like to use bluetooth since it would give me greater mobility and it uses less battery than wifi.

Remember that "stable" is a relative issue. I spend between 10-14 hours at my computer every day and I use MPE continuosly during that time and has done for the last couple of years. I highly doubt that this would be an issue for anyone else.

Any tips and/or experience on the issue and can you recomend a bluetooth dongle that gives a stable connection over time without having to create a new pairing every time I turn on and off the computer?

Inbetween i know alot of people have the same issue with SMS, the issue affects every app which is able to send SMS. I hope there will soon come a fix of the ROM, oherwise i will have to find another solution....

Bluetooth: I often tested Bluetooth, but i never kept the connection alive for several hours. Which Bluetooth Stacks you tried (Windows, Widcomm, BlueSoleil, Toshiba,...) ?

I have tried all of them.
Does ICS 4.0 on sgs2 still make the app send double sms or have you fixed it?

Double SMS: I heard there is a firmware update which does fix this. Its a bug of the firmware, not of MyPhoneExplorer

Bluetooth: Please install 1.0.18 from market and tell me if the problem is fixed

I now have had a stable bluetooth connection for 14 hours without any disconnections.

Why doesn't the app mark the sms as read on the phone anymore?
After I click on "ok" in the MPE popup window on the PC, the message is still active on the phone and marked as unread.
Is this for just me or for everyone?

Bluetooth connection is stable as a rock now, it hasn't disconnected one single time in over 48 hours.

It seems you have to go back to 2.3.5 like I had to do.
Mr the man says that it is Samsungs fault and that he can do nothing, he also talks about a Samsung fix, which I have not seen anywhere.

We just have to cross our fingers and hope that he fixes this, looking at the great work he did on the bluetooth connection, I am sure he can also fix this.

@Kalohux: Some users did not like that the messages were marked as read automatically so i changed this behaviour. With the next PC Version of MyPhoneExplorer the sms will be marked as read in the phone as soon as they get marked as read on the PC

@LeBanquet: Its not my job to fix bugs of the original firmware, since all apps with SMS possibility are affected by this problem i think Samsung is in pressure to fix this. I tried the latest release but it didn't work.
It still sends double sms.
I guess the Germans got the good stuff from Samsung.

I'm sorry, I have to uninstall. The app is totally worthless for me in its current version.
All the other third-party-sms-apps has made a fix for i9100´s 4.0.3 double sms issue, but since you don't think it is your job to fix it and I have no E-mail adress to Samsungs firmware developers, i have no choice.

I had the same problem with double SMS on my SG SII.

Updated via Kies yesterday. It is still Android version 4.0.3, but the firmware version was updated to PDA:LPD / PHONE:LPW / CSC:LP4

After the upgrade, 62 programs were "updated", and the double SMS seems to be solved (at least my contacts are not complaining any more...)

Yes, it doesn't send double sms any more but there is still problems.

Every time MyPhoneExplorer automatically synchronizes, the same sms pops up over and over again.

Sometimes every five minutes, unless I read it on the phone or delete it.

Is this really right or can you make it marked as "read" when I click "ok", like the way it used to be?

This has nothing to do with the original problem of this thread. Your problem will disappear with the next version of MyPhoneExplorer
