Importing an .ics file; OBEX Error

Hello,
I am trying to transfer my entire Google calendar into my HTC Evo. Unfortunately, the Google sync that comes with the phone only syncs appointments starting one month prior to the current date (and later). Thus, I wanted to import the entire calendar (9 years worth of past data) through MPE, as I heard from various forums that it would serve my purpose.

I saved the Google calendar as an .ics file on my computer, then tried to upload it into the MPE desktop client. However, I got a message that said "SetPath failed: OBEX Error:". I was able to open the same file in Microsoft Outlook 10, and I tried exporting from Outlook as a .ics file, but I got the same error message when uploading it to MPE. What does this error mean? Is there a better way to accomplish what I'm trying to do? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I assume you mean Outlook 2010? If you have this on your PC why not just sync with that? It's what I do. Ensure your calendar (and contacts if you wish) is correct and choose the 'download Outlook to phone' the first time and that's it.

The SetPath-Error is related to the filebrowser of MPE. I think you have to import the file into the calendar of MPE (in the Events-List rightclick->Import/Export->Import)
